The busier we are, the more we can do for others. We don't take custom for granted and we work hard at supporting others with our success.
We have two nominated charities which are Chas Children's charity at Robin
House and Cancer Research.
We sell duck food for Chas Charity at 50p per
bag, the whole 50p goes to Chas, we also run kids club events which are free
of charge, but we ask for donations that go to Chas. So far we have raised
over £3500 for Chas.
For Cancer Research we collect the monies from the burn and have a tin on
the bar. So far we have raised
over £800 for Cancer Research.
Last year we launched our Water Aid collection in association with
Strathendrick Rotary. We serve thousands of glasses of Tap water every year
and most of us don't appreciate it, we are asking for donations which will
go to Water Aid via the local Rotary to help those people who may have to
walk long distances for clean water, if they are lucky enough to have any at
all. So far we have raised £430 by asking for donations.
Some of our recent sponsorships include Balfron High School Rugby Team and
Balfron Primary School. We are now providing Balfron High School with our waste oil for their bio-diesel production which we helped in setting up and arranging finance. The idea behind this was to help school trips become more affordable to pupils as as obviously helping the environment at the same time. The school are now organising it to be in part of their curriculum
This year we are again sponsoring the nearby Balfron 10k running race which takes place on Sunday 25th April 2010 from the Balfron Schools Campus. The race is a great day out for runners and spectators with all proceeds benefiting Balfron schools.
