The Beech Tree Inn is situated in Dumgoyne village, near the Glengoyne distillery, on the main Glasgow to Aberfoyle road, and is surrounded by stunning scenery. The Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and Dumgoyne hill are close by and well worth a visit. The Inn is adjacent to the West Highland Way, and forms an important and welcome stop after walking 7.5 miles from Milngavie.
The Inn has evolved over the years and encompasses a rambling collection of characterful buildings and an extensive beer garden. The buildings and facilities have recently been extensively renovated to a high standard. We are proud of our good food, the same menu applies throughout the premises.

Bar/Restaurant
The bar has a mixture of comfortable bench seating and loose tables and chairs for about 26 people.
The Family Snug
A separate room, located next to the bar/restaurant, which is ideal for an overspill at peak times, a family room, or as a private dining/function room. It can cater for approximately 26 people and has French doors leading to an additional outside eating area. We use this room as a family room and it has a toy box to keep the children entertained.
Conservatory
Recently refurbished, this is an ideal setting for a more formal meal and can accommodate up to 35 covers. The dining area can be booked for a private party or you can just enjoy a quiet meal for 2 in a relaxed atmosphere.
Front Food Garden
The full menu is served in the front food garden all day. Simply choose a table, note the number, order and pay at the bar whilst getting your drinks and we will take care of the rest for you. Dine alfresco in scenic surroundings while the kids play close by on a small play area which we hope to extend very soon. We also have a reduced menu which we may introduce in very busy periods or in un-foreseen circumstances to enable us to cater for the demand.
Walkers Beer Garden
To the rear of the building on the West Highland Way, we also have a walker’s garden. After walking 7.5 miles from Milngavie you will deserve that short break. You are welcome to eat picnics in this area, as long as you buy a beverage from the bar. This area is not a serviced area, however the front garden is fully serviced.
Smoking Hut
Like all bars and restaurants in Scotland, we are a non-smoking premises. We do however, cater for smokers outside in the garden with our smoking hut which has heating and light.
Garden
The Beech Tree Inn is surrounded by grassy gardens ideal for relaxing in with a long drink on a sunny day. We have our own burn running through, with ducks, a favourite with kids!
Kids Play
The Beech Tree Inn is a real family-friendly establishment, and our latest outdoor play equipment complements the "old favourites" that many older children will remember.
